Hello Darkness, My Old Friend (A Jukebox Graduate "Side Pod")

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK OF EYE-ROLL! In this special “side pod” episode of The Jukebox Graduate, Dave and Eugene dive into the abyss of 1978’s Darkness On the Edge of Town album and tour by Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band.

Upon the 40th anniversary of that annus mirabilis the Goons of Tunes talk about what it means to them to this day. The illicit bootleg tapes, the class consciousness of the material, the never-to-be-heard-again guitar solos, the soul-baring stories, the legend building of a glorified bar band and the annoying cultishness of your hosts are all explored.

Too obscure to be a regular podcast....and too navel-gazing to be unposted, this episode is a dark look at the two men that make The Jukebox Graduate and the 40 year-old album/tour that helped make them.

In between episodes, be sure to catch Eugene on tour with Dwight Yoakam at a venue near you! Also, head over to Discussions Magazine to read Dave's recent interview with Springsteen fan Margo Timmins of Cowboy Junkies.
