The Jukebox Graduate (Episode 07): My Happiness

In Episode 7 of The Jukebox Graduate the Telecommunicating Twosome chat over the phone about a smattering of topics and have a very special guest with a very special documentary.

Eugene calls from the road and talks with Dave about “The Searcher,” the new HBO documentary about Elvis Presley and his music. Eugene announces this summer’s LSD tour. The guys review the Blaze Foley episode of Tales From The Tour Bus. Eugene conjures a trivia question for a CD giveaway contest and talks about seeing John Doe and Jesse Dayton in Austin. Dave tells us about a recent listener victory on a game show! The new book about Van Morrison’s "Astral Weeks" album is discussed. Then we will hear Dave’s interview with Thom Zimny and his new HBO documentary “Elvis Presley: The Searcher,” and he has a MINDBLOWING tale about a surprise at Graceland.

And as usual the Graduates talk about the new stuff that they’re listening to this month. (Eugene calls himself out regarding a Brandi Carlile song.)

We will hear music from John Doe, Jesse Dayton, Sadler Vaden, Blaze Foley, Van Morrison, Elvis Presley, Brandi Carlile and Lucius.

And, for those who love some swag... WE HAVE A CONTEST! The fine folks over at South Central Music have offered up a CD copy of the brand new tribute album entitled "Strange Angels: In Flight With Elmore James" to give away to a Jukebox Graduate listener!
